Use the country table to compare Pro or Max monthly App Store listings in original currencies, then check the FX date and source time. Compare web monthly against store monthly, and web annual against store annual. A Google Play in-app purchase range is not a specific Pro or Max quote.

The straightforward discount is Pro annual billing
Anthropic publishes Pro at $20/month or $200/year on the web. If you expect to use it for a full year, compare the $200 up-front total with twelve monthly payments and the annual option offered in your own store. Confirm renewal terms before paying.

Changing a store region is for an actual relocation
Apple says an account region change can require spending remaining balance, ending blocking subscriptions and adding a valid payment method for the new country. Google Play says a new country profile requires being in that location and having a local payment method; it also has waiting periods and balance restrictions.
Anthropic says paid plans require physical presence in a supported location. A foreign price screenshot, VPN, borrowed identity or fabricated billing address does not establish eligibility. This guide does not treat a region switch as a shortcut to a price.

What Apple gift cards can and cannot do
Apple Account balance can pay for some App Store subscriptions, but Apple says some purchases still require a card on file and some subscriptions cannot use the balance. Gift cards are region-bound: Apple says they cannot be redeemed outside the country or region of purchase.
A gift card is a payment instrument, not a Claude discount or a guarantee that the app subscription will accept the balance. Check the card region, redemption terms and checkout before buying one.
