Claude Persona identity verification

Anthropic’s identity verification article names Persona Identities as its partner. Identity or business verification can appear for certain capabilities, routine platform checks or other safety and compliance reasons. Only the official account prompt determines whether you need it; third-party risk scores cannot predict it.

For individual verification, Anthropic asks for a valid physical government-issued photo ID in hand and a camera phone for a possible live selfie. Its examples include passports, driver’s licenses and national identity cards. The document must be legible, undamaged and unexpired. Screenshots, copies and non-government IDs are excluded in the official guidance.

Business checks may also ask for legal name, address and registration details. Follow the current on-screen requirements rather than a third-party checklist.

A blurry image, unreadable or expired document, incorrect business detail or technical issue can cause failure. Retry within the official flow; if attempts are exhausted, use the official help form. Do not pay an intermediary to submit someone else’s identity.
